Cuadritos de Coco, Dulce de Leche y Chocolate

Ingredientes

  • 1 1/2 Taza de harina
  • 1 1/2 Taza de avena (en hojuelas)
  • 1 Taza de azúcar morena
  • Pizca de sal
  • 2 Barras de mantequilla bien fría
  • 1 1/2 Taza de dulce de leche
  • Coco (opcional)
  • Chipas de chocolate (opcional)

Preparación

  1. Precalentar el horno en 325 F.  Poner en un procesador de alimentos la harina, la sal, el azúcar, avena y la mantequilla en cuadritos, procesar hasta que se compacte. Reservar 1/2 taza de esta mezcla para el final y mientras ponerla en el freezer (congelador) unos 20 minutos.
  2. En un molde 8x13″  poner papel encerado o y presionar la masa cubriendo todo el fondo. Hornear por 10 minutos.
  3. Mientras tanto, calentar el dulce de leche en una ollita hasta que se ponga un poco más líquido. Sacar el molde del horno y verter el dulce de leche.  
  4. Desmenuzar por encima la 1/2 taza de masa cruda que se tenía  reservada en el freezer y si se desea en este momento agregar además coco, chispas de chocolate o nueces.
  5. Hornear por 20 minutos más hasta que el dulce de leche esté haciendo burbujas. Sacar y dejar enfriar antes de cortar en cuadritos.
  6. Para cortar la idea es usar el aditamento que también se usa para cortar tiras simétricas de fondant.
