Ingredientes

  • 5 libras de jamón ahumado tipo bolo
  • 20 clavos de olor
  • 1 taza de azúcar morena
  • ½ taza de miel
  • ½ taza de mostaza
  • ½ taza de jugo de piña
  • ½ taza de vino blanco
  • 1 astilla de canela
  • Para decoración: Cerezas, lascas de piña en almíbar y ciruelas pasas

Preparación

  1. Con un cuchillo marcar la superficie de la parte de arriba del jamón en con trazos diagonales, primero en una dirección y luego en dirección contraria, para formar rombos o diamantes.
  2. En cada unión o encuentro del rombo colocar un clavo.
  3. Mezclar el resto de los ingredientes y verter sobre el jamón.
  4. Llevar al horno precalentado a 400°F/200°C por una hora, bañando cada quince minutos el jamón con esta mezcla.
  5. Luego de este tiempo, sacar del horno y reservar el líquido para servir con el jamón.
  6. Decorar con las cerezas, rodajas de piña y ciruelas pasas.
