Quiche de Hongos y Cebollas Caramelizadas

Ingredientes

  • 1 taza de harina
  • 1 barra de mantequilla en cubos fría
  • ¼ - ½ taza de agua fría
  • ¼ cucharadita de sal
  • 1½ tazas de hongos salteados
  • 1 cebolla blanca grande caramelizada
  • 1 taza de crema de leche
  • ½ taza de leche
  • 3 huevos
  • ¼ taza de queso parmesano
  • Tomillo al gusto
  • Sal y pimienta al gusto

Preparación

  1. Colocar la mantequilla y la harina con la sal en un bowl. Batir hasta que queden grumos de harina y mantequilla que asemejen lentejas.
  2. Agregar poco a poco el agua fría necesaria para compactar. No amasar.
  3. Dejar reposar por al menos una hora en la nevera, cubierta en papel plástico.
  4. Engrasar un molde de tarta o pie y abrir la masa con la ayuda de un bolillo.
  5. Cubrir con papel encerado y colocarle encima granos o pesas para que no crezca la masa.
  6. Hornear la masa a 400ºF por aproximadamente 10-15 minutos. Retirar los granos y el papel.
  7. Cuando la masa se haya refrescado, colocar los hongos y las cebollas caramelizadas.
  8. Aparte, mezclar los demás ingredientes a excepción del queso parmesano.
  9. Verter la mezcla de la leche sobre los hongos y la cebolla, y colocar queso por encima.
  10. Hornear por aproximadamente 30-40 minutos hasta que dore.
