Ingredientes

  • ½ taza de azúcar en polvo
  • 1 barrita mantequilla a temperatura ambiente
  • 1 huevo
  • 1 yema de huevo
  • 1 taza de harina todo uso
  • Pizca de sal
  • ½ cucharadita vainilla
  • ¾ taza de azúcar blanca
  • ¾ taza de syrup light
  • 3 huevos ligeramente batidos
  • 1 cucharadita de vainilla
  • 1 pizca de sal
  • ½ taza de pecans picadas
  • ½ taza de nueces picadas
  • 1 cucharada de licor (ron, whisky o amaretto)
  • 1 taza de azúcar blanca
  • ¼ taza de agua
  • ½ barra de mantequilla
  • ½ taza de crema de leche
  • ¼ cucharada de sal

Preparación

  1. Para preparar la masa, cremar la mantequilla y el azúcar.
  2. Aparte, cernir la harina y la sal.
  3. Cuando la mantequilla esté bien cremada con el azúcar, que luzca pálida y airosa, agregar el huevo, la yema y la vainilla; luego agregar la harina cernida con la sal. No sobrebatir.
  4. Dejar reposar envuelta en papel plástico en la nevera por lo menos 4 horas. Extender la masa y colocarla en un pirex o molde redondo previamente engrasado con mantequilla, cubriendo todo el fondo hasta llegar al borde. No precocer.
  5. Precalentar el horno a 350ºF.
  6. Para el relleno, mezclar todos los ingredientes a mano y verter la mezcla sobre la masa en el pirex.
  7. Hornear por 30-40 minutos a 350 grados o hasta dorar
  8. Esperar a que enfríe para desmoldar.
  9. Mientras, para la salsa de caramelo, poner a hervir el azúcar mojada con el ¼ taza de agua.
  10. Aparte, llevar al fuego en una olla la crema de leche a una temperatura templada sin dejarla hervir.
  11. Cuando el azúcar tome un color ámbar, incorporar la crema de leche caliente y la mantequilla.
  12. Mover en el fuego hasta homogenizar la salsa de caramelo. Dejar refrescar.
  13. Verter la salsa de caramelo sobre la tarta ya desmoldada sin dejarla desbordar.
  14. Opcional, se puede servir con helado.
