Tequeños venezolanos con miel y pimienta

Ingredientes

  • 1 libra de masa para tequeños
  • 1 libra de queso blanco de freír
  • 1 taza de miel
  • 1 cucharadita de pimienta recién molida
  • 2 tazas de aceite para freír

Preparación

  1. Con el rodillo extendemos la masa sobre la mesa de trabajo.
  2. Cuanto más delgada sea, sin que llegue a romperse, mejor.
  3. Cortar en tiras de aproximadamente 1,5 cm.
  4. Tequeños de queso: Se corta el queso en bastones de aproximadamente unos 6 cm de largo y 1 cm de grosor.
  5. Envolver un bastón de queso con la tira de masa.
  6. Este paso debe hacerse con mucho cuidado de no dejar aberturas, para que cuando se frían u horneen los tequeños el queso no se salga al derretirse.
  7. Freír los tequeños en abundante aceite hasta dorar, y servir con miel y pimienta.
